Consumer Product Recalls

The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) issues hundreds of recalls each year for household items, and we list all of them here. Toys, furniture, electronics, kitchen appliances, clothing, outdoor gear, nursery products, power tools, and basically anything you might buy at a store or online. Our data goes all the way back to 2004.

Products get recalled when they're found to be fire hazards, choking risks, shock dangers, or when they fail federal safety standards. Children's products are recalled especially often. A lot of these recalls involve items sold on Amazon and other online retailers, so even if you didn't buy something in a store, it could still be affected. If you find something you own on this list, stop using it right away. Most recalls come with a refund, a free replacement, or a repair option.
