Paramount Pool & Spa System Recalls Certain Drain Covers Due to Incorrect Rating; Covers Pose Possible Entrapment Hazard to Swimmers
What You Should Do
Stop using this product immediately. Do not consume, use, or distribute it.
Pool owners/operators and consumers who have one of the recalled pool or spa drain covers should immediately contact Paramount to receive a replacement cover. Options: Replace
Affected Products
The recall involves one pool and spa drain cover, Model MDX, (sold after 12/18/2008). Markings on the cover will indicate MDX logo, a maximum flow rating of 64 GPM, ASME A112.19.8 - 2007, VGB 2008 and include the USPC Shield.
Why Was This Recalled?
The recalled drain covers were incorrectly rated to handle the flow of water through the cover, which could pose a possible entrapment hazard to swimmers and bathers.
