2023 MACK GRANITE (GR) Recalled by Mack Trucks, Inc. — STEERING:CRITICAL FASTENERS
What You Should Do
Stop using this product immediately. Do not consume, use, or distribute it.
Dealers will replace and tighten the axle fasteners, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed March 20, 2023. Owners may contact Mack customer service at 1-800-866-1177. Mack's number for this recall is SC0441.
Affected Products
2023 MACK GRANITE (GR). Mack Trucks, Inc. (Mack) is recalling certain 2023 Granite (GR) vehicles. The front-drive steer axle fasteners may not have been tightened sufficiently and could come loose, resulting in a complete separation of the axle assembly joints.
Why Was This Recalled?
Steer axle assembly separation can result in a loss of vehicle control, increasing the risk of a crash.
