These "Snap Action" thermal switches were sold under the model number 2450A, 2455RA, or 2455RM. They have model numbers and date codes stamped on the sensing surface or end cap. Why Was This Recalled?

When these switches are used in fire or HVAC dampers and heat detectors, they could fail to operate, causing the damper not to close or causing the heat detector not to alarm, if there is a fire.
