What You Should Do

Stop using this product immediately. Do not consume, use, or distribute it.

Dealers will replace the right crank case cover, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed May 25, 2023. Owners may contact Honda customer service at 1-800-784-1870. Honda's number for this recall is KP2.

Affected Products

2023 HONDA CMX300. Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2023 Rebel 300 (CMX300) motorcycles. The right engine crank house cover was incorrectly painted, allowing the press-fit plug to fall out.

Why Was This Recalled?

Oil can leak onto the exhaust pipe or rear tire without the plug, increasing the risk of a fire, crash, or injury.
