What You Should Do
Stop using this product immediately. Do not consume, use, or distribute it.
Dealers will replace the drawbars, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed March 1, 2023. Owners may contact Forest River Customer Service at 1-574-848-1335. Forest River's number for this recall is 24-1592.
Affected Products
2016 FOREST RIVER AMERA-LITE. Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2016-2017 Ameralite Cargo trailers. The welded trailer drawbars may be insufficient for the Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR), which can cause the drawbars to fracture.
Why Was This Recalled?
Fractured drawbars can cause a loss of trailer control and increase the risk of a crash.
