What You Should Do
Stop using this product immediately. Do not consume, use, or distribute it.
Dealers will replace the high-voltage battery module, free of charge. Owners may contact BMW customer service at 1-800-525-7417.
Affected Products
2024 BMW I5. BMW of North America, LLC (BMW) is recalling certain 2024 i4 xDrive40, i4 M50 and i5 eDrive40 vehicles. The high-voltage battery module may contain insufficient weld seams, which can result in the battery overheating.

An overheated battery module increases the risk of a fire.
