2020 ARCIMOTO FUV Recalled by Arcimoto Inc — SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC:FOUNDATION COMPONENTS:HOSES, LINES/PIPING, AND FITTINGS
What You Should Do
Stop using this product immediately. Do not consume, use, or distribute it.
Arcimoto will notify owners and will replace the hydraulic brake hose assemblies, free of charge, using factory technicians. The recall began July 16, 2020. Owners may contact Arcimoto customer service at 1-541-683-6293.
Affected Products
2020 ARCIMOTO FUV. Arcimoto Inc. (Arcimoto) is recalling certain 2019-2020 FUV motorcycles. The hydraulic brake hose assemblies do not have a "DOT" marking, and also may fail constriction testing. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 106, "Brake Hoses."
Why Was This Recalled?
Non-compliant hydraulic brake hoses may lengthen the distance required to stop the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.
